I've been in the wedding industry for a decade now—not just as a bridal stylist, but as a

coordinator, minister, planner, and more. I've watched wedding trends move from rustic barn chic to bohemian, from minimalist and intimate to highly editorial. Every era has had its own version of “timeless,” but there are always those tell-tale signs of the times: mason jars, pampas grass, infamous COVID masks, champagne towers, and, yes, excessive pearls.

If there is one word I would use to describe where weddings are headed in 2027, it’s intentionality. The biggest shift I'm seeing isn't necessarily in what weddings look like. It's in how they feel. 2027 isn't necessarily about a specific aesthetic. It's about intentional experiences. I am seeing couples prioritize their guests and make their wedding not just a formality, but an immersive experience such as multi-day activities, reception experiences in place of party favors, even when the overall aesthetic is minimal- every detail matters.
